Paradise

After Ryan and I got married, we went on a cruise to the EASTERN CARIBBEAN!! It was extremely fun...all you can eat buffet, tropical beaches of the caribbean, snorkeling in the beautiful clear ocean, swimming with the stingrays, zip lining through the rainforest, kayaking in the mangroves, laying by the pool, shows everynight at the theater, etc. (and these are only a FEW of the perks).
Our first stop was to Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas! It was a perfect day filled with plenty of sunshine and a light breeze. We had a fun time playing at the beach all day as well as going on a shore excursion.
We went swimming with the sting rays in the Bahamas. It was a little scary at first...and it wasn't because of the sting rays. I was terrified to get into the water because it was freezing. Ok, so it probably wasn't THAT bad, but I don't like cold water AT ALL!  After inching my way into the water, the instructor had all of us get into a circle to feed the sting rays. We held a squid in each of our hands ontop of the water, so the sting rays could suck it out of our hands. It was the weirdest feeling next to having them brush up against my legs! After feeding our new friends, we swam with them a bit before heading back to the tropical paradise.
All of the workers on the ship were from all over the world! Dinner was especially enjoyable for Ryan and I because we would get to learn about different cultures and people from our server.

One of our first nights on the cruise was an elegant night where everyone dresses up for dinner. After we had another amazing meal, a group of servers came to our table all saying "HAPPY HONEYMOON". This comotion, of course, caused everyone in the room to clap, point, and take pictures of us. Our phillipino server told us that they were going to sing us a song, and we had to kiss during the entire song otherwise they would start over again. So the group of Philliopinos began to sing while we kissed....

"Happy Honeymoon to You
Kissy Kissy More More More
Happy Honeymoon to You
Kissy Kissy Kissy MORE MORE MORE
Happy Honeymoon to YOU
Happy HOneymoon to You
KISSY KISSY KISSY MORE MORE MORE!"

By the end of the song Ryan and I were both laughing and everyone in the dinning hall was clapping. It was a pretty priceless moment! We laughed about the little phillipinos singing the song for the rest of the night.
Our second stop was to the beautiful island of St.Thomas. We went on a ride up to the top of the island so we could see the beautiful view! :)

After our view from on top of the mountain, we got a ride with a taxi driver on the island and told him to take us to one of the best beaches on the island. Sure enough, he took us to the best beach, but it was on the opposite side of the island, and the ride was really windy. Lets just say I felt a little motion sickness after that. After a little relaxation I was feeling good and happy to be on the beach of St. Thomas for the afternoon.
One of my favorite things to do on a beach is to lay out and read a good book. The book I chose for this vacation was the last book of the Hunger Games, and I think it may have been a mistake to chose it. I was addicted to the book all week, and I could not put it down until I had finished it. Ryan did not think this was his idea of fun, but he knew the sooner I finished would be the sooner he would have me. Thanks Ryan for letting read my book!
Every night on the cruise I got the most delicious dessert! It was almost like a brownie that wasn't completely cooked all the way that had a slight amount of drizzled fudge over it with a side of vanilla ice cream. It was so YUMMY! On the last day, the server gave me the reciepe  :) because he knew how much I loved it.
Each night we would come back to our messy hotel room to find it looking sparkling clean. Our room service was amazing! They even left us an animal each night on our beds.
Next stop...Puerto Rico! I loved Puerto Rico because Ryan and I were able to go zip lining through the rainforest. It was one of the most amazing experiences! We had so much fun seeing the beauty on the island.
After we finished our excursion, we caught a taxi to one of the beaches. Yes....beautiful once again!
Our last stop was my favorite... the beautiful island of the Grand Turk. When Ryan and I first arrived to the island, we went to the most beautiful snorkeling spot where we could see lots of fish, shells, and sea creatures. We had so much fun that we almost lost track of time and missed our excursion to kayak through the mangroves; however, we made it just in time. Our excursion was a lot of fun, even though it rained almost the entire time. After we kayaked the tour guide showed us all the different sea creatures including the creature in a conch shell. He cut it out of the shell and gave some to each of us to eat. It was too gross for me, but Ryan tried it. Apparently, it tastes like chicken? YUM.
After our fun week on the cruise, they had a nice dinner. Ryan and I were once again sang to by the servers "Happy Honeymoon to You"!

All in all, our cruise was a lot of fun! We hope to do another one soon!
